That’s why, before you even apply to Clarks Summit University, we’ll complete an audit of your existing credits and let you know what credits you can expect to transfer.

More About Transferring Your Credits…
Many CSU programs are ideal for transfer students like you, specifically designed with a large number of electives to accommodate as many of your previously earned credits as possible.
Our transfer policies offer a generous amount of accepted transfer credits:
- Transfer up to 50 percent of your associate degree (up to 75 percent for U.S. Military veterans)
- Transfer up to 75 percent of your bachelor’s degree
- Transfer 1/3 of your master’s degree
- Transfer up to 50 percent of your seminary master’s degree
Credits you’ve completed at an accredited college or university with a grade of “C” or above can transfer in if they apply to one of our programs. Credits from non-accredited schools must be validated. Find details in the Institutional Credit Transfer Policy.
Clarks Summit University accepts transfer credit for suitable scores in Advanced Placement (AP) exams, International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams and Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) exams. Options Designed for You.
As a transfer, you can choose from more than 40 undergraduate programs, eight online master’s degrees and two web-enhanced doctoral degrees. However, we wanted to draw your attention to just a few that might interest you specifically as a transfer student.
- The online bachelor’s Degree Completion major, packed with elective options, is designed specifically to help transfer students like you reach your goals on the most direct path.
- All of CSU’s other online bachelor’s degree programs can also be an excellent fit, giving you 57 credits of elective studies to help you make the most of your previously earned credits.
- Join us on campus as you finish earning your associate or bachelor’s degree in many specialized program areas.
Other Details for Transfer Students…
If you have completed 30 transferable credit hours or more at an accredited college or university, you are not required to take the SAT, ACT or CLT exams.
You must have official academic transcripts of all previous college courses sent to the Admissions office before a decision will be made on your application. A minimum 2.0 cumulative college GPA is required for acceptance.
To qualify for graduation, transfer students must complete at least 30 credit-hours at Clarks Summit University.
