Robert Plantz
Associate Professor, Business
Before coming to CSU in 2017 to teach business and serve in the administration, Dr. Robert Plantz served in the United States Marine Corp for 21 years, leading large organizations with varied staff. He also has engineering training from the U.S. Naval Academy and experience teaching religious studies. He enjoys teaching leadership and how to be a light in the world through business. He conducts research, crafts reports and plans institutional effectiveness assessments for the Administrative Services Department.
Dr. Plantz and his wife, Kelly, have five children. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, fishing, camping and hunting. Home is his favorite place in the world, but if he can’t be there, he loves Okinawa, Norway and Thailand.
I love teaching at CSU because I am passionate about teaching and helping young people integrate their faith with the everyday workings of their lives. I bring a myriad of practical secular and ministry leadership to the academic environment—teaching, training, and inspiring students to use their education and vocations to be the platform for living out the gospel.
