Reed Plantz
Head Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball | Strength and Conditioning Coach
Reed Plantz joined the CSU coaching staff in 2022. As the head coach of the JV basketball team and the strength and conditioning coach, he leads and disciples athletes to improve team performance and individual growth and fitness.
Previously, Plantz served as a high school English teacher, student council advisor and JV basketball coach. His favorite sports teams include the UNC Tar Heels, Washington Nationals and Pittsburgh Steelers. On campus, he enjoys fishing at the pond. He and his wife, Bethany, have one son.
As a CSU graduate, I understand first-hand the mission of preparing Christ-centered and career-ready graduates. It is because of this mission that I chose to join the team of committed faculty and staff at CSU. I love working here because I believe that this is where God has called me to pour into student's lives just as I was poured into when I was a student.
