Mark McGinniss
Dr. Mark McGinniss has been teaching Old Testament and Hebrew since 1992 and at BBS since 2006. But before that, he studied marine science! He became a Christian as a college student and served for 30 years in the church where he met the Lord. He's passionate about teaching the Word of God to students who want to make an impact for Christ.
McGinniss’ work has been featured in various publications, and he is a co-author of the book "Scripture's Story: A Unifying Hope" with Dr. Jared August, Dr. Ken Gardoski and Dr. Wayne Slusser. McGinniss has also taught courses on Psalms and Proverbs at Word of Life Bible Institute and is the managing editor for BBS's Journal of Ministry and Theology.
When he’s not teaching, writing or editing, he enjoys projects around the house, fishing, scuba diving, kayaking and reading. He and his wife, Joy, have five adult children and four grandchildren.
