Lynelle Buchanan
Dr. Lynelle Buchanan has been a full-time professor at CSU since 2002 and is now the dean of the School of Behavioral Sciences. A Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, she teaches counseling classes on the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Buchanan will tell you that as a CSU student, she found a love for God's Word, and it changed her forever. So now, the Bible is front and center of all her classes.
For ten years, Dr. Buchanan served as resident director in Barndollar Hall and is now serving in Fletcher Hall. Buchanan has seen God working in the lives of generations of students and loves being part of what He’s doing at CSU. It's her driving passion. That, and volleyball. Dr. Buchanan loves a good pick-up volleyball game with anyone and everyone.
Her husband, James, also works at CSU as a professor and associate dean of students. They have three children.
