John Best
Professor, Mathematics
Dr. John Best has been teaching math since 1985 and at CSU since 2007. For those who don’t “find math to be a lot of fun and very interesting”, Dr. Best leverages CSU’s small class sizes so students can interact and feel free to ask questions. Before coming to CSU, Dr. Best taught at the State University of New York at Cortland and Syracuse University. A member of the Mathematical Association of America and the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges, he speaks on topics like group theory, combinatorial geometry and college mathematics education. Yeah, he’s super smart.
Dr. Best and his wife, Paula, are members of Heritage Baptist Church and have two adult children.
I like the small class size. It allows a more interactive classroom in which students get a lot of attention and can freely ask questions.
