Graduate and Seminary students are invited to take advantage of inexpensive, short-term, on-campus housing during on-site modules.

Students may choose to stay in our residence halls for $15 per night and purchase a block of ten meals to be used at any time during the school year.  Single meals can be purchased in the cafeteria.

Limited graduate and seminary housing is available to single students who are pursuing a degree through on-site courses. Students can enjoy the convenience and affordability of living in a dorm room right on campus. Grad and seminary students are encouraged to be involved in campus events and activities throughout the year as a part of their student life experience.

Each floor in a dorm at Clarks Summit University is made up of a lounge and three suites. Each suite contains three bedrooms and a shared bathroom.  Each room is equipped with two beds with mattresses, two desks with chairs, two dressers, and a closet.  The bottom floor of Commons Hall houses graduate girls and the bottom floor of Shaffer Hall houses graduate and seminary guys. In each of these dorms, students will have access to a shared living area that includes a fully functioning kitchen and laundry facility, wired internet access, and limited Wi-Fi.

The cafeteria at Clarks Summit University is run by Aladdin Food Management Services.  Our dining program is designed to provide a quality experience with a variety of options to please everyone and meet the needs of today’s university student.

Graduate and seminary students may choose to purchase a 14 or 21 meal plan during the fall and spring semesters.  Clarks Summit University also offers a block of ten meals for commuter, graduate, and seminary students who do not wish to purchase an entire meal plan.  This option can be purchased at the business office during regular hours.

Check-In & Check-Out

Students may check into their Residence Halls the weekend before classes begin.  Check out is the Sunday after graduation.

Our institutional calendar can assist you in finding these dates.

Clarks Summit University does not assume responsibility for damaged or stolen belongings.  It is the responsibility of each resident to purchase renters insurance.

Visiting Guests

Resident students are welcome to have guests visit during the semester.  Permission to have guests stay in residence halls (including alumni) must be requested at least 24 hours in advance with the OSD and a fee for accommodations will be collected at that time.  Guests are limited to three-night visits, must be between 13 and 30 years old, and are expected to abide by Clarks Summit University’s community standards.  Students are directly responsible for the actions of their guests while they’re on campus.

Persons of the opposite gender are not allowed in residents’ suites or rooms at any time.

Summer Housing

Special permission must be requested from the OSD to stay in Residence Halls over the summer months.  If approval is granted, there is no guarantee that you will be able to keep your current room as we must make arrangements for summer camps and conferences.

Students will be charged the undergraduate semester rate to live on campus during the summer.

Storage space is not available for students who will not be living on campus during the summer.

How to Apply

Housing availability is limited and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.   Graduate and seminary students are eligible to apply for housing as long as they are enrolled in 6 or more on-site credit hours.  Exceptions to this policy must be requested through the Office for Student Development.

Click here to apply for housing and a meal plan.  Your application will be submitted to the Office for Student Development for review and approval.  You will then be contacted by a member of the OSD staff regarding your housing confirmation, billing and room assignment.
