Ministry Highlights

After a VBS the past month (July) this month was mostly spent preparing for my second project “sermon series” on Ephesians.

Starting off Olympians on Sep. 21 I have been preparing invitation cards and planning for our kick-off party.

Got to sit in two board meetings.

My goal to teach some new songs to the church this month was a success!

Key Prayer Requests

Still praying for my dad’s knee. It has been hurting him even more than when he first fell, looking into some hospitals and doctors to see. Praying for finding the right doctor and hospital and a quick and full recovery.

Pray for good health as I start off my sermon series.

Pray for a good kick off program for Olympians.

I am starting off a new lesson for my college Sunday school class. Now that all our church youth have gone back to their colleges, and I am praying that I will have returning kids from CSU.

Prominent Lessons

I have been greatly blessed by being able to teach through the book of Jonah this summer! There is a huge difference between knowing God in the head and knowing God in the head and heart. Jonah who knew God only in the head had no true fear of the Lord God and that caused him to disobey God. Yet the great news is God is gracious and patient. Our God is the God who spoke the world into creation yet He chooses to take time, our whole lives to keep making us better, more mature and be like Christ!

Having gone through a lot of emotional roller-coasters this month, I have learned in a new level how I can find peace in such time when I wish I could be with those people I care but couldn’t to so. It is so encouraging to know that I have God who is ever present with them and can care for them so much more than I could ever do!
