Ministry Highlights

Honestly the month of October has been a bit slower! Which is kind of nice, as there will be some upcoming events and ministry opportunities in November and December, so we got extra time to prep for those things! God doesn’t always bless us with wiggle room for preparation, so I’m glad He has for me!

Key Prayer Requests

We are still working out times and dates for Bible studies! Thankfully we launched a women’s Bible study, but we are still looking into days and times for our men!

Pray for our Pastor as he is going to be away for two weeks in November for a trip to Brazil! He’ll have the opportunity to teach at a seminary there and just have a great time of fellowship and refreshment (he really looks forward to going to Brazil).

Kimpi and I will be taking over for Pastor while he is gone those two weeks in November, so keep us in your prayers that we don’t destroy the church while he is gone! It’s crazy how much we see needs to be done the behind the scenes here at church, and we’ll get to do most of it when he’s away!

Prominent Lessons

Sin is very tricky. God really humbled my heart this month regarding sin in my heart. I’m so thankful that I have a God that loves me this much that He uses His Word to convict my heart and rescue me from myself!

Prayer is incredibly important to our day to day lives. It’s a tool that not only allows us to take our requests, needs, concerns, anxieties to God and know that He hears them and grants peace to our hearts and minds, but it is also a tool that helps focus our minds and lives on Jesus Himself. I’m grateful for all of your prayers for me, and I’m grateful to God that I am able to take my own prayers to Him because He desires them.

I’ve also learned that I can be an encouragement to many people simply by listening to them. I’ve had the opportunity to visit people in the church over these few months, and to call people on the phone as well. During those times, many of them have expressed their thankfulness for my heart and my time with them, and it’s odd because I wanted to spend time with them. Yet something as simple as listening and reaching out to someone can come to them in the most appropriate of times. I’m just grateful that God uses me and my care for people to allow me to encourage them from His Word.

Key Goals for the Next Month

As December nears, my first project will be wrapping up! So, I’ll need to finish work on it in November.

I’m still working on that backlog for our Pastor’s previous sermons in Matthew. It got pushed back a bit with things that came up in October, so hopefully November will be the month that I finish the backlog and our main sermon page as well.

The Welcome Team formation got pushed back, and the creation date seems geared towards the first of December.

To continue to stay on top of paperwork!

This will close in 20 seconds
