Ministry Highlights

I was able to go to the Biblical Counseling Training Conference in Indiana with another one of our pastors. It was great to spend time with him, and also spend a week getting more training in how to counsel our people.

We kicked off a new series in Daniel this month. It has been great to help preach through this book.

I’ve had more chances to spend time with my unsaved coworkers from the Olive Garden. It has been great to continue to build friendships with them outside of work.

We have made some really great visits as a family this month.

Key Prayer Requests

We have had two expensive car repairs this month. We are asking God to provide a way to help cover them.

I am preparing to be ordained May 20th.

That I would finish up my last project by the end of March.

I have been officially recommended to become part of the pastoral team at Grace Bible. There will be a church-wide Q&A time with me in two weeks, and then the church will vote in April.

Prominent Lessons

To not let my feelings when I am tired drive me to poor decisions.

I need to avail myself to the great people God has brought in my life when I am struggling.

I need to have a more constant habit of confessing sin to my wife and kids.

I need to not only tell my church how to live, but give them steps on how to succeed.

Key Goals for the Next Month

Complete my last project.

Finish up my doctrinal paper for my ordination.

Begin publicity for our Easter services.

Begin working on sermons for a week of camp I’ll be speaking at this summer.

Ministry Highlights

Time spent with our small group is always a highlight.

Another highlight is the beginning of our winter/spring semester of Ladies Bible study.

Key Prayer Requests

Dave and I have been recommended for a Pastoral position at Grace Bible and the next step is an open question/answer time for the church to “interview” Dave.  Then there will be a vote a couple weeks later.

Prominent Lessons

God brought someone in my life that takes a little more patience, time and compassion. And compassion is not a strength of mine.

I’ve learned that sometimes people just need a friend to call and listen.
