10 Things We Highly Recommend:

  1. Pray intentionally for wisdom.
  2. Evaluate costs and affordability for your entire degree (not just the first year).
  3. Experience college life through campus visits at potential schools.
  4. Keep up your GPA (at CSU you could be rewarded with an academic scholarship!).
  5. Stay active in community involvement, ministry and co-curricular activities.
  6. Fill out your FAFSA.
  7. Register for the SAT/ACT/CLT.
  8. Talk with admissions counselors.
  9. Apply for scholarships.

If you want to get a head start as a high-school junior or senior, you can take college-level classes from CSU on campus or online, which accelerates your education and reduces costs. Through High School Dual Enrollment, you will gain valuable higher-level learning experience with a Christ-centered focus that will prepare you to reach your future academic goals.

Clarks Summit University eagerly welcomes many home-schooled students like you. In fact, over 10 percent of our student body comes from a home-school background.

With a tight-knit community of people at CSU who love Christ and want to see you succeed, we believe your transition from high school to college will be positive.

If you are a home-schooled applicant, you should send your high school transcript to Clarks Summit University. You are also required to take either the SAT, the American College Test (ACT) or the Classic Learning Test (CLT). Clarks Summit University does not require a state-certified diploma or a GED.

Home-schooled students are evaluated for acceptance based on a review of an application, transcript, test scores, references and essays.

If you have left for any reason and would like to return, you can apply for readmission. A committee will review your request and decide on readmission.

High School Dual Enrollment
Get a jump start on earning college credits as a high school student—on-campus or online at Clarks Summit University. Save time and money, and get a step ahead, with this option for high school juniors and seniors.

Accelerated Degree Programs
Earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree simultaneously in five years through CSU’s accelerated degree programs in Counseling or Pastoral Ministries.
