Financial Information
- 95 percent of our full-time residential students received CSU scholarships.
- The average, renewable CSU scholarship package is $11,000 per year.
- The average amount of federal grants awarded to qualifying CSU students is $5,000 each year.
- The average amount of state grants awarded to qualifying Pennsylvania residents is $3,600 each year.

Scholarships
All Clarks Summit University Scholarships are awarded based on the entire application process.
Distinguished Student Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded based on excellent success in academics which is demonstrated by the student’s cumulative grade point average and scholarly character. The GPA used to determine this scholarship is the final cumulative high school GPA (cumulative college GPA if transferring 24+ credits).
Annual Amount: $9,000 maximum
4 tiers based on GPA range of 2.9–4.0
- Annual Amount: $9,000 with minimum 3.8 GPA
- Annual Amount: $7,500 with minimum 3.5 GPA
- Annual Amount: $6,000 with minimum 3.2 GPA
- Annual Amount: $4,500 with minimum 2.9 GPA
Eligible to be combined with Christ-Centered and Career-Ready Scholarships.
This scholarship is renewable annually provided the student remains academically qualified to receive federal aid.
Christ-Centered Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded based on the student’s strong Christian character and leadership qualities demonstrated through personal walk with Christ, church and ministry involvement.
Annual Amount: $1,000–$3,000
Eligible to be combined with Distinguished Student and Career-Ready Scholarships.
This scholarship is renewable annually provided the student remains academically qualified to receive federal aid.
Career-Ready Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded based on the student’s strong work ethic and commitment to progression in future career.
Annual Amount: $1,000–$3,000
Eligible to be combined with Distinguished Student and Christ-Centered Scholarships.
This scholarship is renewable annually provided the student remains academically qualified to receive federal aid.
Legacy Scholarship
Because we value our CSU graduates greatly, this scholarship is awarded to a new CSU student who is an immediate family member of a CSU graduate. (The CSU graduate must be the parent, sibling or grandparent of the student receiving the scholarship. The immediate family member could be a graduate of Clarks Summit University and/or Baptist Bible Seminary who has earned his or her associate, bachelor’s, master’s and/or doctoral degree).
Annual Amount: $1,000
This scholarship is renewable annually provided the student remains academically qualified to receive federal aid.
Ministry Matching Scholarship
Traditional Undergraduate
Clarks Summit University will match a ministry’s contribution to a student’s account up to $1,000 per school year (maximum $500 per semester). The student must be a full-time, on-campus undergraduate student and must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress to receive the scholarship. Multiple ministries may contribute, but the scholarship cannot be stacked.
Graduate School and Baptist Bible Seminary
Clarks Summit University/Baptist Bible Seminary will match a ministry’s contribution to a student’s account up to $1,000 per calendar year, disbursed as $200 per 3-credit class. Multiple ministries may contribute, but the scholarship cannot be stacked. The following programs are not eligible for the Ministry Matching Scholarship: Master of Business Administration, Master of Organizational Leadership (eleven:6 scholarship students), audited classes, or any classes offered as part of a teach-out agreement.

High School Dual Enrollment Scholarship
Student must maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA in CSU’s High School Dual Enrollment program.
Annual Amount: $120–$2,800
Amount awarded depends on number of credits earned in the dual enrollment program.
Scholarships for Returning Students
Discounts for Online Undergraduate, Graduate and Seminary Studies
- For undergraduate students, your FAFSA must be completed and verified before eligibility for any discount is determined.
- All students who qualify for the Tuition Relief Discount will receive the Tuition Relief Discount rate even if they also qualify for another rate.
- Students may qualify for only one discount.

Discount Description & Criteria
ABHE Discount
This discount is for current ABHE College or University employees and those students who earned their undergraduate degree from an ABHE College or University.
Alumni Discount
This discount is for graduate and seminary students who completed a minimum of 30 credits from CSU at the undergraduate level.
Anchor Christian University Student Discount
This discount is for students transferring directly from Anchor Christian University into an undergraduate online program.
Christian Worker Discount
This discount is for those who are currently serving in full-time or bi-vocational ministry.
Eleven:6 Discount
This discount is for students enrolled through the Eleven:6 training program. There is also a $15/credit service fee.
First Responders and Military Discount
This discount is for those currently (or in the past five years) employed full-time, volunteer full-time or retired from law enforcement, the fire department or emergency services as well as those currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, Veterans and military spouses.
International Student Discount
This discount is for non-citizens of the U.S. that are not considered eligible non-citizens.
Legacy Discount
This discount is for any new student who is an immediate family member of a CSU graduate. The CSU graduate must be the parent, sibling, spouse, child, grandparent or grandchild of the student receiving the scholarship. The immediate family member could be a graduate of Clarks Summit University and/or Baptist Bible Seminary who has earned his or her associate, bachelor’s, master’s and/or doctoral degree).
Teen Challenge Discount
This discount is for interns, graduates and staff with Teen Challenge USA.
Teens for Christ Discount
This discount is for current interns and staff with Teens for Christ.
Tuition Relief Discount
This discount is for independent students that have an EFC score of 0-500 as reflected on their FAFSA.
Word of Life Graduate Discount
This discount is for 1st or 2nd-year WOL students who are transferring into an undergraduate online program.
Word of Life Employee/Intern Discount
This discount is for current employees and interns serving with Word of Life Fellowship.
