Scholarship Opportunity

For Attendees of BFA Churches

The Dr. John & Earlene McNeal Scholarship is a unique opportunity for incoming students at all levels—undergraduate, graduate and seminary. Both residential and online students are eligible for this scholarship.

Clarks Summit University awards the Dr. John & Earlene McNeal Scholarship to one student each year who meets the following criteria:

  • Is a member or regular attender of a church affiliated with the Baptist Fellowship Association (BFA)
  • Has a GPA of 2.5 or greater as evidence of satisfactory academic progress
  • Stays enrolled for consecutive semesters
  • Provides a Christian testimony
  • Demonstrates financial need

The McNeal Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship that can be used for up to eight consecutive semesters, provided the student continues in good standing at CSU.

The Dr. John & Earlene McNeal Scholarship is provided in partnership with the Baptist Fellowship Association, based in Kansas. The BFA promotes fellowship between Bible-believing Baptist churches to foster the spirit of evangelism, spread the gospel and advance the cause of Christ through mutual efforts in Christian education and missions.

Dr. John McNeal is the founding and senior pastor of Atlanta Bible Baptist Church in Atlanta. He has served over 50 years as a pastor and was a member of CSU’s Board of Trustees for 25 years. His wife Earlene McNeal has been an encouragement to both her husband and the CSU family during this long time of service.
