Reaching young people is the next great wave in world missions, and you can be equipped to serve and lead in this growing field. Young people across the world need godly mentors who will invest in their lives and point them to the Word of God. You will be prepared to disciple and lead youth wherever God leads you.

Mission agencies are seeking intercultural youth ministries professionals to be involved in a wide variety of settings. Opportunities in this field include roles as:

  • Pastor
  • Ministry Leader in a church or para-church setting
  • Missionary
  • Youth Pastor or Youth Ministry Leader
  • Pursuing Graduate or Seminary education

 

What Will You Learn?

In all of the programs at CSU, you’ll be interacting with small class sizes and professors who really care and desire to mentor you. You’ll not only receive quality academics to prepare you for your career, but discipleship to prepare you for life.

Experience serving and living in another culture

You will hone the specific skills you need for your ministry through focused apprenticeships. Learn to apply youth ministry strategies in an international setting. 

Involvement in the lives of young people

You will gain the ability to guide young people through the challenges of their teenage years, both at home and overseas. Learn to become a leader that young people can respect and trust. 

A biblical understanding of the world in which you minister

Grow in your understanding and application of biblical truth through core Bible and theology courses. You will be mentored by professors who have firsthand experience ministering within youth culture.

I love working with children. With this degree, I can work with children from different cultures and backgrounds and share the love of Christ with them.

                                                                                                        

Program Highlights 

  • You will spend a full academic year, including a summer, in a different country, taking classes online as you learn outside the classroom.
  • You will be mentored in a place like Spanish-speaking South America or English-speaking Africa. This is not just a “junior-year overseas” program. This unique program will immerse you in another culture as you sharpen your focus and customize your major.
