Get to know our campus…

Named the “Most Beautiful Bible College in the Country” in 2017 by Christian Universities Online, our campus is in suburban Clarks Summit, nestled among the hills on more than 111 acres of beautiful, Pennsylvanian woodland.

The peaceful and spacious campus includes a four-acre pond, residence halls, café, academic buildings rich in architecture and a Recreation Center.

You’ll love playing sports on our open quad, soccer and softball fields or simply taking a stroll around the beautiful grounds with friends. At the Phelps Student Center, you’ll find the cafeteria, Huckaby gymnasium, Byrdies Grill and spaces to meet up with friends. Learn more on our Campus Features page.

The Buildings

Jackson Hall

You’ll learn in spaces with beautiful architecture and a rich history. Jackson Hall is where you’ll attend many classes, meet with professors and staff members in offices and meeting spaces, get hands-on experience in labs and pick up your mail in the on-campus mailroom. In the two-floor Murphy Memorial Library you’ll love the sunlight flooding into the second-floor study space, or you can find a quiet nook to focus amid the first-floor stacks.

The Recreation Center

Enjoy the resources of the 62,000-square-foot Recreation Center built in 2013 for student and public use. You can keep active using the one-ninth-mile track, basketball courts, batting cage, climbing wall and weight and cardio rooms featuring Precor exercise equipment. The Recreation Center is where you will gather with fellow students for weekday chapel, and you may have a course held in one of its classrooms.

Check out the Recreation Center Calendar to see when the Recreation Center is open.

The Phelps Student Center

Here, you’ll meet friends to eat meals in the cafeteria. In the same building, you can cheer on the Defenders as they play volleyball and basketball games in the Huckaby Gymnasium. You’ll play some pool or carpetball in the game room, work on weight training in the training room and attend the Kindred Hearts Player’s main-stage theatre productions.

The Residence Halls

When you live in one of CSU’s 12 residence halls, you won’t get lost on a crowded floor with long hallways and multi-stall bathrooms. Your residence hall at CSU truly becomes your home-away-from-home. These three-floor living spaces are intentionally designed to foster positive relationship-building. Your room is part of a three-bedroom, one-bathroom suite where you’ll get to live with and learn from other students. As part of your residence hall family, you’ll socialize, do devotions, attend some chapels and collaborate on study sessions in the hall’s three lounges. Your residence hall’s laundry room, conveniently located on the bottom floor of each hall, is where you can do your laundry for free. An adult resident director lives in an apartment right in your residence hall, so you’ll get to know your “RD” and possibly his or her family for built-in help and mentoring when you need it.

Buckingham Hall

Let your musical creativity flow in the oldest building on campus, Buckingham Hall, home of the Music Department. Whether you are a dedicated music student or simply a music enthusiast, you can access Buckingham’s well-equipped practice rooms and a stocked music resource center. You will also find music classrooms and faculty offices in Buckingham Hall.

The Underground Café

Hang out in Clarks Summit University’s very own coffee shop, the Underground Café. Relax, study and socialize in the inviting atmosphere which is popular among students, staff and faculty. Enjoy a delicious drink from the café’s extensive drink menu, including coffees, teas and smoothies, or grab one of the many snack options, including bagels, chips and chocolate bars.
