2022 Christmas Concert

UPDATE: The Christmas Concert 2022 has been cancelled. Those who have purchased tickets have been sent an email with details. We hope you’ll enjoy the next set of concerts at CSU.

There are a variety of events the Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, community can look forward to around the Christmas season. One such event is the Clarks Summit University Christmas Choir Concert. The concert will be December 9 at 7 p.m. and December 10 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the second floor of the Murphy Memorial Library in Jackson Hall on CSU’s Campus.

Music Department Chair Adam Schwamb and Professor of Music Dr. David Harris have been diligently rehearsing with the university musicians to put on an arrangement of songs this winter. There will be a variety of pieces and genres, including songs in other languages. Congregational singing is also a unique and special portion of the evening.

Schwamb states, “There’s something uniquely special…You don’t think about Christmas without thinking about lights, food and music. There is something about carols that is so engrained in the fabric of what Christmas is…It’s an evening where we celebrate Christ’s birth through song, music and collective singing together. It’s just an enjoyable evening that just embodies the Christmas season.”

Choir member Aaron Bell says, “I’m the most excited for the opportunity to sing in front of many people about the birth of Jesus with other talented singers in unison…My favorite thing about choir is the community that is created through it. People are always laughing and having a good time.”

It is this joy that the CSU community hopes to spread to others this December. The Christmas Concert will give students the opportunity to use their God-given talents to bring glory to their Creator and rejoice together in two nights of beautiful music.

Tickets are available here.
