Information for Graduates

Commencement Dress for Graduates
This is a formal event so it is expected that graduates would dress accordingly.

Ladies are expected to wear a dress or skirt of appropriate length or dressy pants. Please no flip-flops, casual/athletic shoes or shorts. 

If you have any questions about dress code, please contact the Dean of Women.

Men are expected to wear a dress shirt and pants along with a tie. Dress shoes and socks are appropriate for this kind of an occasion, while a jacket is not required. Please do not wear athletic wear, sneakers, shorts or jeans.

Graduation Announcements
Josten’s will be on-campus in the spring to order personalized graduation announcements or rings. You can also order on their website at www.jostens.com. Search for Clarks Summit University.

Graduation Regalia
The Registrar’s Office takes care of ordering your graduation regalia. It can be picked up at Friday, May 1 from 2–2:45 p.m. before graduation rehearsal.

Graduation Tickets
Tickets are not required for graduation.

Live Stream
The live stream will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2020. It can be viewed at www.ClarksSummitU.edu/commencement

Seminary Banquet
On Thursday, April 30, the Seminary Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. in the Phelps Student Center. More information will be emailed to seminary graduates.

President’s Reception
On Friday, May 1, come enjoy delicious desserts and good fellowship with fellow graduates and professors. Reservations are required for all graduates and their guests. Each graduate and up to two guests are welcome to attend at no cost. Additional guests may attend at the rate of $3. More information will be available closer to the event.

Seating
Doors to the Recreation Center will open at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 2. Because of the nature of the seating in the facility, there are no reserved seats.

Seating for Young Children.
An auxiliary room served by streaming video of Commencement will be designated for young children. No nursery supervision will be provided. Please be courteous of our graduates and their achievement by taking advantage of this room.

Seating for Disabled Individuals
The entrance to the Recreation Center is at ground level. There is an elevator available for anyone with accessibility needs.

Parking
Security will be on duty to assist with parking needs. Please allow time for parking as you plan your arrival.
