Women at Baptist Bible Seminary

Clarks Summit University’s Board of Trustees has unanimously agreed that women are encouraged to study at Baptist Bible Seminary.

BBS is well known as a seminary that provides sound and rigorous academic and ministry training. At its core, a seminary education is a deep study of the unfailing Word of God. “Studying the God-breathed message to humanity in a deep way through seminary education is something we believe should be open to everyone who wants to serve Him,” says Dr. Jim Lytle, CSU president.

Expanded Options

While CSU’s first seminary courses were specifically designed to train male college graduates to become a pastor or expand their pastoral ministry, BBS’s current programs are beneficial to those outside of pastoral ministry as well.

“We continue to build on our strong track record of preparing men for pastoral ministry, and we also value higher theological education for women who desire to serve God in a variety of mission, church and parachurch opportunities,” notes Seminary Dean Dr. Lee Kliewer. “The unique blend of academic scholarship, ministry competencies and passion for God and people will continue to provide excellent training for men and women in their respective ministry roles.”

Degree Programs

BBS offers an array of degrees that are beneficial in a wide set of careers and ministries filled by both men and women. Women are welcome to pursue any of the five master’s degrees and two doctoral degrees offered at BBS. The programs are customized to fit the ministries they are in or will be entering.

Accessible Study

Seminary degrees are available in online and web-enhanced formats, to make learning possible for men and women who want to pursue further study without leaving their current ministry or career.

Applications Now Accepted

Potential students are welcome to apply at any time at Discover.ClarksSummitU.edu. Incoming students can enter any of the five eight-week master’s degree sessions offered online throughout year, or they can pursue a doctoral degree in an enhanced online format.
