Konzelman Named one of Top 25 Women in Business

Published March 9, 2017

Lisa Konzelman, Clarks Summit University’s vice president of institutional advancement, was recently named one of the Top 25 Women in Business in Northeastern Pennsylvania by the Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal.

Konzelman, an alumnae of CSU, was recognized with this title on March 8, 2017.

In an article by Jennifer Butler in the Business Journal, Konzelman is described as “an optimist with a can-do attitude rooted in an inherent trust in God’s plan for her life that gives her purpose, peace and focus.”

In the article, Konzelman acknowledges her co-workers and credits her parents for shaping the direction of her life by their example. She says, “I am grateful to serve with a team who mentors our students and works hard to help them afford their education.”

“Lisa’s understanding of our school, training in fundraising management and demonstrated skills in raising funds make her the ideal leader of our Institutional Advancement team,” affirms Dr. Jim Lytle, university president. “I was not surprised that others see the same qualities in Lisa that we enjoy every day we work with her.”

Konzelman, who has over 20 years of fundraising, event planning and project management experience, previously served as the university’s executive director of Institutional Advancement and director of the annual fund and special events. Under her leadership, the Summit University Golf Classic has raised over $1 million for student scholarships.

The vice president received her CFRE from Indiana University School of Philanthropy and served as the sponsorships committee chairperson for the Northeast Pennsylvania Susan G. Komen for the Cure 25th Anniversary, mobilizing 95 women volunteers to raise $100,000 in support. A graduate of Leadership Lackawanna, she also volunteered as a group advisor and served on the nonprofit organization’s Alumni Committee.

She and her husband Rich have three adult children and six grandchildren.
