Murphy Memorial Library Hosts On Display Art Exhibit

Murphy Memorial Library Hosts On Display Art Exhibit

Published September 10, 2016

On Friday, September 9, 2016, the Clarks Summit University Murphy Memorial Library hosted On Display: An Evening of Student Art and Poetry. The event gives students an opportunity to showcase their God-given artistic abilities.

After noticing through social media that there is a significant number of artistically talented students at CSU, Kristen Kaughman started the event last year with the hope of highlighting this previously unnoticed area in which God has gifted CSU students.

Kaughman, a student and administrative assistant to the library, said, “I work and study with some very talented and generous people. I love providing an outlet for creativity, and I am so appreciative of all the people who helped make this event a reality. The way the show finally came together was a beautiful example of how God’s Church is to operate.”

16 students exhibited their art in the 2nd floor of the Murphy Memorial Library, showcasing over 10 different artistic mediums. Graduate student Zachary David Rollison signed copies of his book “Seeds of Elios,” available on Amazon.
