Special Education Minor

The Special Education minor gives aspiring teachers fundamental skills needed to accommodate students with special learning needs.

  • All classes are offered online.
  • Classes qualify as continuing education credit for current teachers.
  • 12 credits supplement an education major without leading to certification.
  • Courses include approaches for gifted students and students with learning, behavioral, social or emotional disabilities or pervasive developmental disorders (autism spectrum).

TESOL Minor

A minor in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) explores both language and language-learning.

  • Provides valuable training for a globally in-demand skill.
  • Pairs well with education, business and intercultural studies majors.
  • Courses include linguistics, advanced grammar, culture and curriculum.
  • On-campus courses lend to interactive linguistics study.
