SKILL DEVELOPMENT
What Will You Learn?
In all of the programs at CSU, you’ll be interacting with small class sizes and professors who really care and desire to mentor you. You’ll not only receive quality academics to prepare you for your career, but discipleship to prepare you for life. Literature Degree.
Leadership skills for outdoor and camp settings
Learn from professors who have extensive background in camping ministries and partnerships with organizations who specialize in experiential learning.
Biblical principles for solid teaching
You will be equipped with a strong theological foundation to help you teach biblical truth to people from a variety of different backgrounds. Learn to weave this teaching into various outdoor ministry settings.
Counseling in active learning environments
Practice catalyzing physical and spiritual growth through intentional activity. You will learn to build relationships through fun activities that open doors for conversations about Christ.

Program Highlights
- Clarks Summit University partners with Eleven:6 to offer a dynamic integrated learning model during the student’s internship year via a network of Christian camping ministries. Students will learn camp ministry while doing camp ministry, mentored by camp ministry leaders.
- The mix of knowledge and experience you gain as a Camping Ministries major at CSU will give you the skills you need to impact people for eternity in a field you’re passionate about.
Beyond head knowledge
Gain extensive hands-on training and experiential knowledge through an internship in a camping ministry setting, such as the Forest Springs Camp and Conference Center.
